Healing Through Gratitude: Support Our "Flowers For First Responders" Initiative

The fires brought us together in grief, let’s now unite as a community once again in gratitude for our LAFD first responders by giving them the flowers they deserve.

Help Us Give the First Responders of the LA Wildfires the Flowers They Deserve

Last month, wildfires devastated large parts of Los Angeles, leaving our communities in shock and bringing us together in urgent support of one another. As we transition from the initial impact of the fires into the recovery stage, it’s vital to not only acknowledge the challenges we faced but also focus on beginning the healing process. Research shows that healing from traumatic events often starts in the weeks following the crisis, as people reflect on their experiences and express gratitude to those who supported them during the trauma.

The "Flowers for First Responders" initiative is intended to be part of that healing journey. It’s our way of thanking the brave firefighters and emergency responders who worked tirelessly to protect our city, round the clock, throughout those terrifying weeks in January when the wildfires were ravaging Los Angeles. We hope this initiative will bring us together in gratitude, just as the fires brought us together in grief. By creating flower arrangements and writing "Thank You" notes, Angelenos can participate in the healing process while showing appreciation for those who put their lives on the line to help us.

How Your Donation Helps:

Your contribution will provide support for:

  • Community Engagement: Bringing together local and extended community members to create flower arrangements and write heartfelt thank-you notes for the first responders who were on the front lines.
  • Healing for First Responders: Delivering thousands of personalized arrangements to LAFD stations across LA County, ensuring each first responder receives a token of appreciation for their selfless service.
  • Ongoing Recovery: Supporting an initiative that helps the community heal by expressing gratitude, a crucial step in emotional recovery from traumatic events.

We’re working to deliver flower arrangements to first responders at firehouses across Los Angeles, starting with stations in Altadena and the Palisades, then expanding throughout the county as our resources allow.

Your gift is fully tax-deductible, and every donation helps us show appreciation for those who helped Los Angeles in our greatest time of need.

  • $50 – Provides the materials and supplies to create one beautiful arrangement for a first responder
  • $250 – Covers the cost for five (5) LAFD first responders to receive arrangements
  • $500 – Provides arrangements for 10 first responders
  • $1,000 – Delivers arrangements to 20 first responders at firehouses across LA County
  • $2,500 – "Adopt" a station by covering the cost of all flower arrangements for the first responders at a single firehouse
  • $5,000 – Guarantees that 100 first responders in the Altadena and/or Palisades areas each receive their own flower arrangement

Every contribution, no matter the amount, makes a meaningful impact in helping us honor the first responders who worked tirelessly to protect our community during the wildfires. Your donation will bring our community together in gratitude and healing.
